Hello, blog, it's been a while!
It wasn't quite a planned hiatus from blogging, I think it was a combination of a hella busy fall semester coupled with one distraction or another. In any case, I'm BAAAAAAA-AAACK!
I bet you are all excited.
One of the many things that kept me pretty occupied was our trip to New Orleans a couple of weeks ago.
NAWLINS!
It was our first time in that city, so Hubs and I were both pretty excited. Not to mention, since I was going to present a poster at the Society for Neuroscience meeting, my flight and our hotel were paid for. So we decided to fold it into a belated anniversary trip!!
Fun fun all around. I scienced for a portion of it, we went sightseeing for a bit, then mostly we and our other science-y friends (all of whom took the SfN meeting as an excuse to travel) drank ourselves silly.

Looks like fun! I've always thought it would be cool to visit... maybe someday :P
